Transfer Details:
Operated by Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA), a third party service provider, flight schedules and timings are entirely at their discretion, and could be occasionally subject to their operational requirements, or the prevailing weather conditions.

Under no circumstances that Finolhu Baa Atoll is held liable, in the event that the seaplane company is unable to fly the guests (from or to the resort) due to, but not limited to international flight delays and changes, prolonged Customs and Immigration clearance procedures, lost or delays in luggage release at the airport, and the like.

The aircrafts are designed for water landing.  For safety reasons, flying times are restricted only to daylight hours (between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm) by the Aviation Authority of Maldives.

To ensure smooth seaplane transfer arrangements, international flights must land at Velana International Airport latest by 3:30 pm.  Departure must not be earlier than 9:00 am.  Bear in mind that guests arriving later than 3:30 pm at Velana International Airport, must book their own accommodation nearby.  Transfer to the resort may be arranged the following morning accordingly.  It is important to remember that guests with international flights from Male before 9:00 am, may need to check out of the resort one night prior to departure date.

The seaplane transfers are on shared basis and as aforementioned, could be occasionally subject to TMA’s operational requirements, or the prevailing weather conditions.  Therefore, waiting time at the terminal is inevitable.

Direct seaplane transfer to the resort takes approximately 30 minutes from Velana International Airport.  It may incur a few minutes longer, should there be any other stops along the way.

Please note that TMA imposes luggage restrictions of 20 kg for checked luggage and 5 kg for hand luggage free of charge for each guest, excluding infants. Additional weight is charged at USD 5.00 + 12% taxes per kg, which can be paid directly at the seaplane check-in counter.
